Strengthening Regional Economic Structures for Accelerating Economic Growth and Reducing Poverty

On this day, Tuesday (07/02), Head of the Musi Banyuasin Regency BPS, Trio Wira Dharma attended the Lais District Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang). This Musrenbang is a forum for realizing aspirations, suggestions, and community participation which is carried out from the village to the national level.

The Lais District Musrenbang in 2023 takes the theme "Strengthening Regional Economic Structures to Accelerate Economic Growth and Reduce Poverty"

In his presentation, Trio Wira Dharma said that poverty is a multidimensional problem that we must address together. Several intervention steps that can be taken include stabilizing commodity prices, social protection, increasing income and minimizing poverty-stricken areas.

The percentage of poor and extreme poor people in Musi Banyuasin Regency in 2022 has decreased compared to 2021. However, efforts to reduce poverty by strengthening the regional economic structure must continue to be pursued with the right steps.
