Abstract
"The national peasant exchange rate (NTP) in February 2012 was 105.10 or decreased 0.60 percent compared to the previous month's NTP due to the decline in all NTP subsectors, NTP Food Crops Sub-sector decreased by 1.02 percent, NTP Horticulture Sub-sector decreased by 0 , 23 percent, NTP Subsector of Smallholder Plantation fell by 0.16 percent, NTP Livestock Sub-sector decreased by 0.09 percent and NTP Fisheries Sub-sector decreased by 0.39 percent.
In February 2012, South Sumatra's NTP Province experienced the highest increase (1.13 percent) compared to other provinces NTP increase. In contrast, NTP East Java Province experienced the largest decrease (1.39 percent) compared to other provinces NTP decline.
In February 2012, inflation in rural areas in Indonesia stood at 0.46 percent due to the rise of the entire Expenditure Group index.
Based on 971 grain sales transactions in 20 provinces during February 2012, dominated transactions of dry grain harvest (GKP) 65.81 percent, low quality grain 25.95 percent, and 8.24 percent dry grain (GKG).

Compared to the average price in February 2011, the overall grain quality group increased.
