Abstract

The city of Lubuk Linggau in May 2015 experienced inflation of 0.50 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to May was -0.73 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (May 2015 to May 2014) was 7.89 percent. Inflation in Lubuk Linggau in May 2015 occurred because of an increase in the price index at 6 ( six) expenditure groups namely; foodstuffs group of 1.48 percent; clothing group by 0.58 percent; health group 0.38 percent; processed foods, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group of 0.27 percent; education, recreation and sports group of 0.05 percent; and transportation, communication & financial services by 0.04 percent. While one expenditure group experienced a decrease in the price index, namely the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by -0.05 percent.
