Abstract

1. Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) * South Sumatra in September 2015 amounted to 95.73 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in September 2015 decreased compared to the base year of 2012. Meanwhile, when compared to the previous month, September NTP 2015 decreased by 0.22 percent due to an increase in the price index received by farmers is lower than the increase in the price index paid by farmers.

2. The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of South Sumatra in September 2015 was 102.24 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in September 2015 was better than the base year of 2012. Similarly, when compared to the previous month, NTUP in September 2015 increased by 0.07 percent.

3. FTT without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in September 2015 was 95.66 percent, indicating that in general farmers purchasing power in September 2015 declined compared to the base year of 2012. Similarly, when compared to the previous month, FTT without fisheries in September 2015 fell by 0.17 percent.

4. NTUP Without the Fisheries Sector of South Sumatra in September 2015 amounted to 102.23 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in September 2015 was better than the base year of 2012. Similarly, when compared to the previous month, NTUP September 2015 experienced an increase of 0 11 percent.

5. Based on the FTT and NTUP sub-sectors, in September 2015 the sub-sector experienced an increase compared to August 2015, namely the food crops sub-sector and livestock sub-sector, while the horticultural crops sub-sector, smallholder estate crops sub-sector, and fisheries sub-sector experienced a decline .

6. Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by farm households. In September 2015, rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 0.55 percent. All expenditure groups experienced inflation and the highest inflation occurred in the foodstuff category, namely inflation by 0.79 percent.
