Abstract

* The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting in South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang in May 2016 as many as 1,201 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in May 2016 increased by 51.07 percent compared to April 2016.

* Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in May 2016 reached an average of 58.18 percent, up 7.22 points compared to the ROR of hotels in April 2016 which amounted to 50.96 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in May 2016 the ROR for three-star hotels reached 69.07 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.

* The average length of stay of foreign guests in May 2016 was 2.92 days, an increase of 1.20 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in April 2016. While the average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in the month May 2016 also increased by 0.12 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in April 2016.
