Abstract

The cumulative inflation rate in 2016 was 2.49 percent. While the inflation rate "year on year" (September 2016 to September 2015) was 4.54 percent. Palembang City in September 2016 based on expenditure group, showed that 6 (six) groups experienced an increase in price index, namely the foodstuffs group of (1.28 percent); clothing group by 0.58 percent; health group by 0.23 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.16 percent; processed food, drinks, cigarettes & tobacco group by 0.06 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.04 percent. While 1 (one) expenditure group experienced a decrease in the price index that held back the amount of inflation this month, namely the transportation, communication & financial services group by -0.83 percent.
