Abstract

The cumulative inflation rate in 2016 was 2.41 percent. While the inflation rate "year on year" (October 2016 to October 2015) was 4.27 percent. Palembang City in October 2016 based on expenditure groups, showed that 2 (two) groups experienced a decrease in price index, namely the foodstuffs group by (-1.17 percent); and clothing group (-0.01 percent). While 5 (five) expenditure groups experienced an increase in price index, namely the health group; and the education, recreation and sports group respectively by 0.02 percent; the transportation, communication & financial services group by 0.11 percent; the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.40 percent; the processed food, drinks, cigarettes & tobacco group by 0.47 percent.
