Abstract

  • The rice harvested area in 2021 is estimated at 492.04 thousand hectares, a decrease of 59.28 thousand hectares or 10.75 percent compared to 2020 which was 551.32 thousand hectares.
  • Rice production in 2021 is estimated at 2,540.94 thousand tons of GKG, a decrease of 202.12 thousand tons of GKG or 7.37 percent compared to 2020 which was 2,743.06 thousand tons of GKG.
  • If the potential for rice production in 2021 is converted into rice for the population's food consumption, then rice production in 2021 is estimated at 1,451.63 thousand tons, a decrease of 115.47 thousand tons or 7.37 percent compared to 2020 which was 1,567.10 thousand tons.
