Abstract

In January 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency was 4.92 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.09. Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in almost all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.03 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.13 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.08 percent; health group by 0.05 percent; transportation group by 0.04 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.10 percent; education group at 0.13 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.25 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.34 percent. However, there were two index groups that experienced a decline in prices, namely the clothing and footwear group by -0.21 percent; information, communication and financial services group at -0.14 percent; The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in January 2024 are 0.11 percent each.
