Abstract

The economy of South Sumatra Province based on the size of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the second quarter of 2024 reached IDR 165.13 trillion and at constant prices in 2010 it reached IDR 95.06 trillion.
  • The economy of South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2024 experienced growth of 4.47 percent (q-to-q) compared to the previous quarter. In terms of production, the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security business fields experienced the highest growth of 22.78 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) experienced the highest growth of 37.78 percent.
  • The economy of South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2024 experienced growth of 4.96 (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security business fields experienced the highest growth of 9.95 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-LNPRT), namely 18.24 percent.
  • The economy of South Sumatra Province in semester I-2024 compared to semester I-2023 grew by 5.01 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security business fields experienced the highest growth of 9.98 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-LNPRT), namely 19.30 percent.
