Bukit Selabu Village, Musi Banyuasin Regency Achieves Top 12 National Desa Cantik Awards

It is a matter of pride for Musi Banyuasin Regency where today (30/01), Bukit Selabu Village, Batanghari Leko Subdistrict, Musi Banyuasin Regency received the best Desa Cinta Statistik (Desa Cantik) award at the National level. Of the more than 600 villages that took part in the Desa Cantik assessment, Bukit Selabu Village made it into the top 12 Desa Cantik that received the award for the developing village category.

The awarding of the Desa Cantik award which was carried out simultaneously with the Launching of the 2023 BPS Bureaucratic Reform and the SP2020 Long Form Results was held in Jakarta and was attended by many parties. The award was given directly by the Minister of PAN RB (Abdullah Azwar Anas) to the Regent of Musi Banyuasin who in this case was represented by the Head of the Communication and Informatics Office of Musi Banyuasin Regency (Herryandi Sinulingga) and the Head of Bukit Selabu Village (M. Ali Romadon). The Head of the Musi Banyuasin Regency BPS and the Trustees of the Desa Cantik of the Musi Banyuasin Regency were also present at the event.

With this award it is hoped that it will increase the understanding of village communities throughout Musi Banyuasin Regency regarding the importance of statistical literacy starting from the village level. In the future it is hoped that other villages in Musi Banyuasin Regency will also become more recognized at the national level.
