January 2012, Number of Foreigners Increased 18.93 Percent Compared January Previous Year

"The number of foreign tourists (tourists) who came to Indonesia in January 2012 reached 652,7 thousand people or up 18.93 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in January 2011 which reached 548.8 thousand people.In comparison with December 2011, the number of foreign tourists in January 2012 fell amounting to 9.92 percent.
The number of foreign tourists to Bali via Ngurah Rai airport in January 2012 rose 19.87 percent compared to January 2011, from 208.3 thousand people to 249,7 thousand people in January 2012. If compared to December 2011, the number of foreign tourists to Bali rose by 0 , 56 percent.
Room occupancy rate (TPK) of starred hotels in 20 provinces in January 2012 reached an average of 51.27 percent, or up 0.80 points compared to the ROR in January 2011 by 50.47 percent. Meanwhile, if compared to the hotel TPK in December 2011, TPK star hotels in January 2012 decreased 4.30 points.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in 20 provinces during January 2012 was 2.03 days, down 0.10 days compared to January 2011.
