Abstract

ü South Sumatra's Large Medium Manufacturing Industry (IBS) production growth in Quarter IV 2015 was 0.93 percent, down compared to growth in Quarter III of 3.04 percent. On average, IBS production growth during 2015 was 8.83 percent.

 

ü IBS with the highest growth was the Food Industry at 1.96 percent, while the lowest growth occurred in the Timber, Wood Goods and Similar Industries with a growth value of 0.68 percent.

 

ü Nationally, IBS production growth in Quarter IV 2015 amounted to 1.69 percent. While the average national growth in 2015 reached 4.57 percent.


ü South Sumatra's Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry (IMK) Production Growth in Quarter IV 2015 amounted to 5.24 percent, an increase compared to the growth in Quarter III of minus 3.98 percent.

 

ü The highest production growth of IMK in the 4th Quarter occurred in the YTDL machinery and equipment industry of 11.04 percent, while the lowest production growth occurred in the leather, leather goods and footwear industries of minus 8.78 percent.

 

ü Quarterly IMK production growth in South Sumatra is higher than the national growth of 1.35 percent. However, the average growth of IMK in South Sumatra during 2015 of minus 7.81 percent is still far lower than the average national growth of 5.71 percent.
