Abstract

ü The economy of South Sumatra Province as measured by the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the first quarter of 2016 reached Rp 84.76 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 64.22 trillion.

ü The economy of South Sumatra Province in the first quarter of 2016 against the first quarter of 2015 grew 4.94 percent (y-on-y), increasing compared to the same period in 2015 amounted to 4.58 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink at 11.54 percent. On the expenditure side, the LNPRT consumption expenditure component grew by 15.07 percent.

ü The economy of South Sumatra Province in the first quarter of 2016 compared to the previous quarter rose to 1.04 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, this growth was caused by the Procurement of Electricity, Gas which grew 11.74 percent. While from the expenditure side, it was more caused by exports of goods and services which grew 5.04 percent.
