Abstract

The harvested area of ​​rice in South Sumatra in the period January-September 2018 amounted to 478.20 thousand hectares. By calculating the potential until December 2018, the harvested area in 2018 is 513.21 thousand hectares.
  • Rice production in Indonesia for the period January-September 2018 is 2.49 million tons of dry milled rice (GKG). Based on the production potential until December 2018, it is estimated that total rice production in 2018 will be 2.65 million tons of GKG.
  • If rice production is converted into rice using the number of MPD conversion to rice in 2018, then rice production is equivalent to 1.51 million tons of rice.
